#BeeWell will survey the wellbeing of pupils in secondary schools across Greater Manchester from autumn 2021 and deliver positive change in all our communities as a result.

What is wellbeing?

Wellbeing is a concept for which there is no universally accepted definition. Given this, and our commitment to have young people’s views at the centre of everything we do in #BeeWell, a key starting point for us was to find out what wellbeing means to young people in Greater Manchester.

Why Greater Manchester?

We consider it crucial that #BeeWell builds on the far-reaching work already underway in the city-region to support young people, including the Young Person’s Guarantee, Mentally Healthy Schools, the Mental Health in Education programme, the Life Readiness programme, and the Unified Public Services agenda at the heart of GM’s place-based approach to public service reform.
